    What is Spaced Repetition?

    Spaced Repetition is a learning technique where material is reviewed at progressively longer intervals over time, based on cognitive science research showing that spacing strengthens long-term retention far more than massed (cramming). Learners encounter the same content multiple times—perhaps after 1 day, then 3 days, then a week—allowing their brain to consolidate memory. This technique underlies flashcard apps and modern adaptive learning systems.

    Use an LMS that supports spaced scheduling, or manually design content releases. For example, launch Lesson 1 on Monday, a quiz on Wednesday (spacing of 2 days), reinforcement content on Friday, and a final check the following week. AI systems handle this automatically.

    Both. Spaced practice for facts (e.g., vocabulary) is well-proven. Spaced practice for skills (returning to a scenario every few weeks) is effective too. However, skills also need varied practice and feedback, not just spacing.
